Mission of JAPL

We, at Jatropha Agro (P) Ltd., are committed for continues growth of clean & green energy. JAPL team has set a target to develop two projects Integrated Bio Diesel Project (IBDP) & Rural Energy Development Project (REDP) which is proposed to be implemented for the farmers and by the farmers. In order to implement these projects the company has undertaken Mission 3P: Plantation – Procurement – Processing:

Plantation program

ii. JAPL will identify the land (govt. / private) suitable for Jatropha plantation, farmers / growers willing to take up plantation of the inedible oilseed trees through its (JAPL's) wide appointed Bio-diesel Promotion Centre (BDPC) / franchisee;

iii. Soil testing and land preparation for plantation;

iv. Development of Nursery from selected & high yield seed materials through the local SHG / villagers / farmers once the land identification is completed;

v. Transplantation of the saplings / stamps by the farmers / labourers

vi. Maintenance of the plants as per agro technology with proper watering, fertilizing, termite control measure, weeding & pruning;

Procurement program

i. Harvesting of the fruits / crops after it is matured or become yellow from green;

ii. Dry the fruits and uncovered the seeds from fruits;

iii. Sorting, Packing and carry to the procurement centre by the local people;

iv. The seeds will be procured / collected by the local oil extraction unit;

1. Processing program

i. There will be two processing units – Oil Extraction from Seed and Transesterification of the crude / vegetable oil;

ii. The oil extraction unit will be set up with every cluster plantation of 1000 acres;

iii. Commercial production of bio-diesel, i.e. Transesterification unit will be set for every 20 – 25 oil extraction units;

iv. The main product bio-diesel will be supplied to the oil marketing companies;

v. The oil cake will be used for biogas processing, electric generation and bio-fertilizer production;

vi. The other byproduct glycerin will be sold to the cosmetics & pharmaceutical companies;
